The AGESCIC project has recently completed its initial testing phase of our cutting-edge underwater noise reduction technology, the SubSea Quieter®. These tests, conducted over a two-month period in maritime environments, provided a comprehensive assessment of our innovative solution. During this time, we had the pleasure of hosting over 100 distinguished guests and press members who came to observe our technology in action. A press briefing held on March 21st highlighted the key insights and findings from these tests.
Initial Findings and Impressive Performance
Our recent demonstrations offered a first glimpse of Greenov's SubSea Quieter® operating in real maritime conditions. Key observations include:
- The system was efficiently assembled in a matter of days, adhering to all operational and safety protocols.
- The SubSea Quieter® showcased its reliability and ease of use, successfully completing over 150 operational cycles (deployment/inflation/deflation/recovery) within a few weeks.
- Acoustic testing was carried out for over a week, allowing us to explore various configurations and measure performance across a broad frequency range, including low frequencies using air guns.
- The system demonstrated resilience and stable performance even in currents exceeding 1m/s.
Although we are still analyzing the final acoustic performance data, initial results are very promising. The SubSea Quieter® has shown significant potential in reducing underwater noise pollution, underlining its capability to protect marine life.
